Elizabeth's first cane

Hi Everyone: Since Elizabeth is on the move now her mobility teacher had given us this picture of a cane that was designed by a Parent of another blind child. So you know PaPA, off he went to Home Depo got the parts and Elizabeth now has her first cane. Evidently the side supports and back will come off and she will just use the front and from that she will graduate to a regular cane. She is doing really well. We are grateful! Just thought you all might like to see this. I will have to get pictures of her using hers. Until next time.
Blessings to you all.

Elizabeth first steps!

Hi Everyone: we spent Memorial weekend at Addison Oaks camping. We have been camping at this park since Cristan and Steven were little. It's great to spend time with family and friends! During our stay Elizabeth began to take her first steps. This is a big deal in most families, but for us it was Awesome. Most of you know that our little Elizabeth is blind. So this was a major stepping stone for her! We give Praise to our Heavenly Father. Please enjoy watching this little video clip Papa took!

Hi Everyone: back in March Jeremiah learned to ride his bike without his training wheels. This past week Jeremiah called one evening telling Papa and me that we needed to come over and bring the camera because he taught Josiah how to ride without his training wheels! I think Mama was working with him, but don't tell Jeremiah that, he thinks he taught him. So Papa and I jumped in the car and drove over there to check things out. Josiah was off and running! But he still didn't like it that Jeremiah could ride better and faster then him. All week he practiced any time he could and wow can he ride like the wind now! So check out the video's of his first ride to our house and then yesterday (Saturday) Papa took both him and Jeremiah to the County park near our house's and they rode a total of 12 miles! I'm sure they slept like babies Saturday night. I thought Josiah would of complained of his leg's hurting, but today his Mom, Elizabeth (in the cart behind Mom) and Jeremiah rode over to say Hi! Josiah Loves his new freedom on wheels! It was great to watch him practice and be happy with his success! That's all for now. Hope your enjoying nice weather where you are!
