What a weekend!

Hi all: Well, I don't know about you but I had a very busy weekend. It really started Thursday evening with a Premier Jewelry show which I had for one of the Ladies I use to work with. She was always so helpful to me as I started out in Premier so I wanted to do something nice for her. Her family is leaving for China around the first of January, her husband is being transferred there through GM. She is excited but nervous. Sounds as if Gm will take good care of them while they are there for the next three years. I did however remind her that I would continue to pray for their safety while they are away. I had 10 ladies show up for the show and we had a great time together. Cristan ended up coming over with Elizabeth so everyone got a chance at holding that precious little bundle! Friday Gary and I took a ride to Lowe's and Sears. I ended up picking up Jeremiah a new pair of snow pants. He is growing so fast and couldn't fit into last years pair. We ended up taking a ride over to Romeo to give them to Cristan and PaPa ended up staying with the boys and watching a movie while Cristan and I ran to the Salvation Army store to see if they had any jeans in her size. No luck! :( Saturday afternoon Gary and I drove to Oxford to watch their Christmas parade. Brent and Adam our nephews were in the parade. We had a good time. On Saturday evening Mike, Cristan, Jeremiah, Josiah and of course Elizabeth came over and we had pizza for dinner, well they did. Then we ran over to Canterbury village where Uncle Steven and his friend Chad were setting off fireworks for the village. Santa arrived at the village and they hired Steven's friend Chad and his dad who are licensed to put on a firework display. PaPa, Mike and the boys set on the grass and watched the show. Jeremiah was a little concerned about the fireworks falling on his head. They were directly over the top of us. Last year we sat in my convertible with the top down to watch them, we could still have the heat on. But this year it was chilly and we had to keep the windows up for Elizabeth. It was just a little to cold outside for her. Maybe next year!

Gary got up this morning and plowed the church parking lot before service. Then he came home and got me and off to church we went. We love this new community that God is allowing us to fellowship with. Pastor Kevin is an amazing teacher of the word and I at almost 50 am learning God's word in a whole new way. It's exciting!
Well, the weather outside is cold, snowy, rainy, and foggy. What more could you ask for this is Michigan!

I hope that as each of you look forward to this Christmas season you will find yourself ANTICIPATING HIM, EXPECTING HIM, and having the confidence in His return!

Let His will be birthed out of you!

Until next time,
Cheryl
